Is Your City Green?

While the federal government drags its heels on tackling global warming, some cities are stepping into the fray. See which cities get a green star and which still need some work. I found this artlicle that is of great interest By Jacob Gordon of TreeHugger.com for MSN City Guides.

He says “It used to be that people in pursuit of sustainable living would flee the city and go “back to the land.” But now that more than half of the world’s people are urbanites, it’s beginning to look like the city is the land. Are we now starting to take seriously the idea that these urban behemoths can be ecological engines of productive cooperation, efficient resource use and high-tech design solutions?” The remainder of the story is available here:
