Too Sexy to Fly?

Posted by Debo Hobo under: Travel-General .

Rather than focus on timely flight arrivals and departures and excellent customer service Southwest Airlines would prefer to position themselves as honorary “Fashion Police”. Considering the extremely relaxed ‘uniform’ of their flight attendants and crew they hardly qualify for such position. Perhaps Southwest will at some point refocus their attention where it belongs.

Do you fly South West? What are your opinions on this story?

I don’t fly Southwest, mainly because I don’t like the way they herd people on the planes. I prefer assigned seating.

Oh I know it is so stressful particularly if you are traveling with someone and you are stuck in line C. Now that is a guaranteed center seat situation right there.

Southwest should never had threatened the lady. Its own stewardesses used to wear outfits just like what the lady wore. Thankfully the company realized its error and apologized. They also lowered prices with a bow to the lady - mini-skirt sale. This was a dumb mistake by a couple of members of the flight crew. Maybe one of the crew doesn’t have great looking legs and she couldn’t stand the sight of the lady’s legs. Here’s a link to the story’s update…

Nobody has the right to criticise another’s dressing in public like this. Imagine the humiliation the poor girl had to go through in the flight. An apology isn’t quite enough.

I think South West has a people problem. They require the obese passengers to buy two seats rather than outfit the plane with a few rows to accomidate these passenger. And now it sounds like a stewardess was ‘haten’ on this poor girl. Cute blondes do seem to get more grief then most though.

Damn flying, I’m too sexy for myself!

Girl please, you know that this absolutely ridiculous. In all of the years that I have been flying, while I’ve seen some “interesting” outfits, I have yet to see anyone so overtly sexy that it would cause a problem. These people need help.

They ought to be more concerned about funky stink, stank, stunk passengers. Now I’ve sat next to a few of those!

I have been lucky. I haven’t been close to a stinky paasenger. But I do remember being on an 6 hour flight a couple of rows from a guy who decided to take his shoes… Let’s just say the stewardess asked him to put his shoes back on… It wasn’t SW and good lord I still remember it.

This chick was on Dr. Phil today. Dr. Phil relayed an apology from SW CEO and 2 free tickets. Af first she took the tickets, then she said she wasn’t going on any other shows to gripe about her treatment. BUT she had an attorney there and she suggested that they were going to sue. Then after holding on to the free tickets for about 5 minutes, she hands them back to Dr. Phil.

Dr. Phil and his audience seemed very disappointed that this chick is thinking about a law suit. I think Dr. Phil said something along the lines that he hated the thoughts of his tax money going towards a court system that would allow a case like that to go forward. I think it seems ridiculous that she’s thinking of suing. One thing I’ve learned in life is that sometimes you’re better off to let things go. She should just let it go.

I think she should file a law suit because they have no business judging fashion. It is the stewards’ job to serve tea and shut-up.

Ever since 911 they have be usurping this self imposed power over passengers causing some of us to feel like hostages in our own country. Tow tickets on South West are pretty worthless seeing how they have a very limited flying radius. (Wright Amendment etc.). I think this was pulled to help the ratings of their crap show on A&E, where they do nothing but harass passengers throughout the entire show.
