Fab Five-Empty Nest Equals Double the Lovin’

This week my son came in from the high seas. As you may recall one thing About Debo Hobo is that I am single Mom of One and that one is an OS3 Junior Petty Officer in the United States Navy. They run missions in the Persian Gulf and back. Gosh, I gush with pride for this child. It tickles me that he chose to save the world. Yip! He is my favorite Super Hero.
I was suppose to go out to Hawaii again this year to greet he and his ship at the end of this deployment as I have done every year previously. However, this year the girlfriend trumped the Momma. I suppose I can understand he missed the love of his life, but “I’m the Momma” aren’t I the love of his life. What a rude awakening, my nest is truly empty. COL 
Anyhoo! Enough about me. Here are this weeks FAB five and I think I for some reason missed last weeks. So lets double up and make this week a perfect FAB ten.
Maryam in Marrakech is looking for a website programmer. I hope that the Mind of Marcus is up to the challenge, he is after all the founder of Langford Internetprises. A person can find almost anything in the blogospere. I’m not sure if it is a Wonderland or Not but I sure hanging out here every day.

I was watching the Disney/Pixar movie Cars last night at a company event. It was Employee Appreciation Night. The company I work for sponsors the AA Baseball Team Frisco Rough Riders, so they invited us out for full access to the stadium. Free hotdogs and beer! Who can complain about that? Like I was saying we watched the movie on the JumboTron with the ultimate in surround sound. The lyrics to the movie soundtrack is stuck in my head. I’m sure you’ve heard the song by Rascal Flatts “Life is a highway I want to ride it all night long. If you’re going my way I want to drive it all night long. It’s a kids movie, not sure those lyrics are appropriate, or am I reading too much into them. Anyhoo! The movie is set on Route 66, I think it was Exit 78, I could be mistaken I am totally bad with directions.

There are so many contests on the blogospere! Do you run a contest on your blog? If so you should be listing it over at MyBlogContest. They will list it for FREE! Or, for a very reasonable fee they will feature your website link in their sidebar. You can get tons of free stuff from running or participating in blog contests. MyBlogContest is making me want to come up with a great giveaway contest. Hmmm… I wonder what my first contest should be?
I love to peer into the lives of celebrities. Famous Kroegers feeds that addiction. Hey if you have any juice on the Rock, please do share. Oh and please be sure to check out Irish Cornwall she having footwear issues but that has been solved. I really enjoyed here photo of the week theme. The Theme being smelly(not related to the footwear issue) and all the photos relate to the theme. Really Cool!

Hi Debo Hobo! I’ve still got a lil’ bit in the nest, my son is 17, but my daughter is in her second year of college way on the other coast. I miss her so much. I do love having a lot of my time back, but sometimes I just want to jump on a plane and go and get my baby. And then I think about the fact that she’s doing well in school and she’s happy, so I go on about my business.
