Explore America on the Orient Express

November 15, 2007 by: Debo Hobo

The Travel Channel is running a program on the American Orient Express (check local listing for date & time). Just imagine winding along the rails through America’s National Parks on a beautifully restored 1940’s Pullman-Standard train. They have equiped the cars with all the modern amenities and luxuries you would expect to find in a five star hotel. Consume a delicious gourmet meal served on fine china and real silver flatware while gazing out on the pristine vistas and natural wonders of America.

Stops on the eight day train excursion include places like Yellow Stone National Park where you can disembark and tour to park and of course get a glimpse of Old Faithful. You will then move on to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the Grand Tetan National Park Mountains then continue on to the Bryce Canyon which has famous spires, called “hoodoos”. The last National Park on board the American Orient Express is the most famous canyon in the world. The Grand Canyon, which is the worlds greatest gorge and home to powerful and inspiring landscape. Depart at the last stop Albuquerque where you can take in an aerial tramway ride over deep canyons and breath taking terrains at Sandia Peak in the Cibola National Forest.

I found this video on You Tube it was produced by the American Orient Express, have a look.
