John Chow and the Shanghai Transrapid

Enjoy this video courtesy of John Chow dot Com. John is visiting Shanghai for a month and has posted his first video of the trip. I asked John if he would be willing to do a guest post for our blog. I guess we will have to wait and see.
In the mean time John takes us on a trip with him and Sally on the Shanghai Transrapid. The Transrapid is one of the fastest trains in the world. It has a top speed of 430KM/H and can blast passengers from the Shanghai airport to the city of Shanghai in just 12 minutes. By comparison, if you were to take a car or bus, you can expect the trip to last a full hour.

Boy! that is a fast train, but I wouldn’t mind if it saves me all that travelling time.

I watched that last night and then looked up some more information about bullet trains and such, because my son likes Thomas a lot. We are sort of train aficionado’s. That said I am not sure my stomach could handle a train that fast. I am thinking give me a beautiful old steamey any time and plant me on the observation deck or in the dining car…

I just wanted to add one more thing since we are talking john chow. I thought Google biffed him to page 3 in search. I just looked up john chow after reading the comments and he is on page 5 in google.
John Cow is number 1 -
Apparently Google giving back a little PR love to bloggers they smacked did not get extended to the big evil john chow.
Which goes to show you can be filthy filthy rich in “blogging terms” and not need Google.Me I need Google and all sorts of help- I am like a poverty level blogger…
